Crafted with care, meant to be worn with purpose—and cared for with intention. Here’s how to keep your Benjamin Barker pieces looking their best, season after season.

Suit Care

• Dry clean only, no more than three times a year.
• Spot clean minor stains using mild detergent and lukewarm water.
• Store in a breathable garment bag, using a broad wooden hanger to maintain shoulder structure.

Shirt Care

• Turn inside out before washing.
• Machine wash on gentle cycle, cold water, or hand wash.
• Avoid harsh detergents (e.g., bleach).
• Wash dark colors separately.
• Hang dry to preserve shape; avoid tumble dryers.
• For Silk/Tencel blends: Dry clean or hand wash with mild detergent, lay flat to dry.
• Iron linen while damp using a pressing cloth.
• Store folded in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.

Indigo Shirt Care

• Avoid strong cleaning agents.
• Hand wash with cold water or dry clean.
• Hang in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight.
• For ironing: use a steamer or place a cloth between the shirt and iron.
• Note: Color will naturally fade with washes.

Knitwear Care

• Hand wash or use a delicate machine cycle.
• Dry flat—never hang knits to dry.
• Always store folded to avoid stretching.

Wooden Button Care

• Avoid soaking in water for more than 10 minutes.
• Use mild detergents; avoid strong cleaning agents.
• Cold machine wash or dry clean only.

 

Common Issues & Solutions

• Stretched Neckline: Use a warm iron (medium heat) with a pressing cloth to gently restore shape.
• Pilling: Turn garments inside out before washing. Use a fabric comb or electric lint remover to remove pilling easily.
